After posting last night, at around 12.30am (Yes I wasn't sleeping yet) I received something special. It was something from God and I received it during my quiet time. The true power of music and lyrics knows no bounds when it is harnessed and put into a song. It can speak to multitudes in different ways and the impacts it can have varies from person to person. It all depends, I have learnt on how ready your heart is to receive.
If you aren't ready, all that you may think of is that it is simply just a song. Nothing more, nothing less. On the other hand, if you just allow yourself to be quiet and really listen, not just hear but listen to the song. Think about the lyrics, they are more than words. Look at the meanings that delve deeper than the words. It may be just something that speaks to you. When you do receive, it is incredible. Simple words cannot be used to convey what I personally feel, you need to be the one experience it to know it fully. Its time to take your quiet time seriously people!!!
Just to share, this is the song which spoke to me. It is titled "

I guess I've decided the purpose in my life, other than living pursuing a career, getting married, having kids and then just dying, it would be accompanied by one very special individual. That is.....GOD!!! Its really kickass to have someone you can constantly depend on and know that he won't fail you. I may not know what lies ahead of me tomorrow, BUT I know who holds my tomorrow. That is really comforting especially in times when I worry haha! First day of work or having a test tomorrow. One reason why i can sleep with ease is the prayer and the faith which accompanies it!
" God I dunno what to do already, I commit everything unto your hands. Amen " Zzzzzzzz....
It may not be the most refined prayer one can come up with, but it really lays my heart to rest! Haha! This is my secret to a good night's sleep. No point wasting sleep over what you cannot control. When you feel that you have done your best, let God take over. LOL
Oh and I won a $20 DOLLARS ADIDAS VOUCHER!!!!! How cool is that lol! I ate subway at SMU today, and I got a scratch card. I was expecting 'Thank you please try again' Never really had luck in these kind of stuff but I got a voucher!!! Haha not bad, I earned back my meal money with a bonus. YAY! :)
CG was really great today, learned a lot of great stuff of the people in CG. Jiehui came to crash our CG today. Think he is on some secret mission or in a conspiracy lol! I am gonna end of this post with some points I took away from the CG.
The first is that each one of us has our own unique paths for us set out by God. We should not compare with other fellow believers what we have or do not. I think this is something which we overlook sometimes. We relate the amount which we serve to the amount that God should bless us with. yes, God said that he would not shortchange us but perhaps he would bless us in a way which we don't see. Intangible things that may be worthless in the eyes of the world but invaluable to us. Examples: Character, morals... You may be the richest guy on the earth, but if you lack morals and gained all that money by unscrupulous methods, but at the end of the day you end up being the poorest.
Secondly, if we really claim to love God, how much do we hate what he hates : SIN. That is something definitely worth chewing on. It is a love out of convenience or really one that is genuine?
