Once upon a December. This song has been stuck in my head for a few days now, so I decided to use it for my blog. It has a mysterious romantic air about it, truly delicious to the ears. haha weird way of puting it but I think its very apt all the same. Don't you think that there is always some enchanting and perhaps bewitching element that is found in many of the Disney movie's ost? Hehe maybe more so for the Disney Princess Series, its okay if you are a guy reading this and you go huh? Think Lion King instead. 'Can you Feel the Love Tonight' and 'Circle of Life'. I sometimes wonder if all good pieces of music are bought up by Walt Disney to enhance the impact and magic of his films.



I like this piece of music because of its enchanting (that word again) quality. It has a relaxing effect in me and I love that it my music. :) You don't always want to listen to heavy metal or rock music. Sometimes you need a good piece of music with stringed instruments or wind instruments. Not your elec guitar or heavy drums. Haha! You can then take the time to sit back and submerge yourself in the music, enjoying the cool night air and chewing cherry jellybeans. Yeah cherry jelly beans you didn't read wrongly. I decided to finish up the food in my house before they expire. Hunting from every nook and cranny cuz I have food all over the place, past gifts or forgotten purchases. Sometimes I wonder why manufacturers do not sell one bottle of jellybeans which are solely cherry flavoured? I cannot stand cinnamon and licorice. Urgh horrible tasting. Sweets should be what their name dictates them to be SWEET! Not spicy or bitter.



Spent 4 hours today hunting for the perfect gift for someone. All I can say is 'Please like it' Haha! If you don't its okay we can go buy another one. I don't mind wearing the one I bought you ahha! I couldn't find any in the colours you adore your dark greens and browns. Thought that the piece I bought would help brighten up your wardrobe :) No more T shirts haha! Retail Therapy is fantastic, you don't have to even buy anything. Though a purchase would be great. I have my eyes set on 2 dresses from Hula and Co. I shall get them soon XD Excited!



Oh another thing! I changed my mind about home products. I used to think that you need to buy expensive face masks for them to be good, but I WAS WRONG! On a whim, I decided to try some face masks from Watsons. I am a face mask addict if you didn't know. They costs no more than 2 bucks and they work relatively well. This is in consideration to brands like Ginvera, which are supposedly better and hence their heavier price tag. I recently bought masks manufactured by Sasa in order to top up my purchase and I tried once today. Its fantastic haha! Give you a rosy cheeked glowing complexion!!! Woohoo and the material of the mask is definitely better than Ginvera. Its silky smooth and soft to touch. Now on the the mask. It very cooling, you face would feel tingly throughout and that's extremely relaxing! :))) The Green Tea Antioxidant face mask enhances detoxification for a clearer and more luminous complexion :))) Haha you can go try. Its $6.95 for a 3 pc pack. Don't look down on home brands okay!



For you out there who don't even think of doing anything for your face. Wahaha we shall wait and see. Lol not that I am cursing you but given the climate of Singapore and the powerful UV rays let in by our depleted ozone layer. Sunscreen is the minimum you should use even if you do not want to venture into the lands of the face masks. If you are a guy and you are reading this. Yeah you probably don't have to care if you don't want to hahaha! The face is more important for the ladies :))) You guys can concentrate on your careers instead haha that's more important lol! Not that it isn't for the girls, but you can't deny that looking good gives you certain benefits and an edge in the working world. As the saying goes, 'There are no ugly women only lazy women. I think that's very true. We can't all manage to look kickass good, but at least we can try to look well groomed yeah?



Today shall be dedicated to my Gek modules :) Tomorrow's karaoke at Joo Seng and Thursday's dining with HY and shopping with my MOM!!! Life looks good this week :) Oh! No migraines plaguing me so far! Benedictine Dom's good!

I have been suffering from bouts of headache recently. I have had a history of it all along, but I am quite surprised that this ghost of my past has decided to come haunt me again. Splitting migraines are definitely not something to trifle with. I guess it comes with stress and is intensified by my low blood pressure. I really hate to be harping about the blood pressure and all but i really hope that it does not affect me when i start working. It will truly prove to be my greatest handicap... God!!! Please take the migraines away!


Today is special, cuz I think I may have found the cure to my migraines. My mother has always been trying to pump me up with some Chinese medicine to make me stronger lol! I never really liked Chinese medicine so I just put it off. I guess what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Haha I always thought so when I was having one of the headaches. Its like the sides of your head are splitting apart slowwwwwly but painfully so. Sleep was great for those times, but imagine having to sit through lessons or even exams with your head trying to split and you trying to gather whatever brain cells you can to process your mind. NOT a very good thing. Well I have made it thus far haha *pats self on the back*. NOW for the new cure!!!! Haha you wouldn't believe this!


My parents' wedding wines. Hahaha!!! they are definitely older than me, in wine terms, they are super potent and lethal!!! I am currently drinking from the Benedictine Dom bottle. I think its about 30 plus odd years? The bottles have been sitting in my cupboard for a long long time. Haha I guess their time of use has come. Why do I say lethal? Cuz if you take a whiff right.... Your nostrils will burn. Hahahha! When you take a sip, your lips and throat and tummy burns. It may sound dreadful, but that's just what I need and the headache has subsided wooohooo! Its really one of the finest wines I have ever tried! It has hints of caramel, which I simply adore and really make you feel warm!!!! Haha I hope that this doesn't mean that I would turn out to be an alcoholic... Heaven forbid. But I may consider bringing around a small bottle of wine tucked in my handbag for emergency purposes lol!!!! Haha! Its very handy if you come to think of it. Not only can it cure headaches, it can also act as a weapon for unwanted attackers for example *ahem*. Yeah if you know the sag that happened near my house you would know who I am referring to.


I really want to thank God for taking away the headaches tonight!!! I better start functioning my brain well, I need to start getting serious about school! :) Yay! I love Benedictine Dom!


To all you migraine sufferers out there! You may wanna try this at home :)

After posting last night, at around 12.30am (Yes I wasn't sleeping yet) I received something special. It was something from God and I received it during my quiet time. The true power of music and lyrics knows no bounds when it is harnessed and put into a song. It can speak to multitudes in different ways and the impacts it can have varies from person to person. It all depends, I have learnt on how ready your heart is to receive.


If you aren't ready, all that you may think of is that it is simply just a song. Nothing more, nothing less. On the other hand, if you just allow yourself to be quiet and really listen, not just hear but listen to the song. Think about the lyrics, they are more than words. Look at the meanings that delve deeper than the words. It may be just something that speaks to you. When you do receive, it is incredible. Simple words cannot be used to convey what I personally feel, you need to be the one experience it to know it fully. Its time to take your quiet time seriously people!!!


Just to share, this is the song which spoke to me. It is titled " I will run to you". Its one of my favorite worship songs. Do listen to it if you have the time :)

I think today is a good day! I got up on time without feeling any lingering threads of fatigue. My flu is improving, the only thing that has gotten worse is my throat. Hope it gets well soon. I have been thinking about it, and I really think I should be getting down to doing some serious studying and mugging to push up my Cap!

Lol I am feeling a bit woozy from the medicine now and a little confused haha! I am now officially a programmer, not an ogl as i speculated. Oh wells I have to admit definitely that I was a tad disappointed but I really hope to see this role as a challenge. No doubt, being a programmer would be very stressful with all the deadlines and preparations needed. I hope to approach this with an open mind and really with excitement. Let me see this as a privilege and not a chore :) I will definitely keep this in prayer. God you must help me!!!


Have a lot of things piling on my mind. Not only recently but yeah it has accumulated all the way from the end of last year. I guess its really like doing New Year's cleaning out and throwing away all the old bad and the useless stuff. I really hate being bogged down by negative feelings and thinking. Its really not the way I want to live, or spend my time. I want to make peace and be at peace with the world lol! That may sound very childlike but it is something I wish to have. So that I would have time to concentrate on other stuff in my life, having the time to smell flowers as one would say.


As the bible says "The old has gone the new has come." I pray that I might be a new creation! :)
One who is able to live her life to the fullest everyday, not being bogged down by anything from Mr S.A. TAN. I really need to have hope, patience and perseverance!!!! Its gonna be a long journey ahead but I know that God is walking with me :)


I am doing Footprints for Women inspired by the poem "Footprints" by Margaret Fishback Powers as a supplementary reading for my Quiet Time. It has really strengthened me and helped me to get through some rough patches in my life. Here's the poem! Hope it blesses you too :)

Yay I might be on to regular posting once again. Today, my headache's almost gone bull the dull heat of fever is still settled in. My nose has start to become runny, thank God it isn't blocked up though. This Sunday was a good time of lazing around and reading my read from the National Library. I dun really get hooked onto romance novels, but I simply love sci-fi and fantasy novels. A great read I found is Geomancer by Ian Irvine. Up to this point, I have ploughed through525 pages of the book and I still want to continue to read on. that's how strong the lure of this book is. Don't you get excited when you are transported to another land by simply a book. The world's greatest theatre screen is in your own imagination. The monsters and characters the book describes appears unique and different in each of our different minds, the landscapes and wars inscribed within the pages. Truly miraculous! Do borrow it if you are a Sci-Fi fan! I look forward to my next visit to the library :)







The rest of the day has been spent finishing work and shopping with my brother for clothes. Alert all you guys out there! Topman has up to 70% discounts in its clearance sale. the Tshirts are going for 19 dollars each. And that is just the tip of the ice berg. I bought myself a belt from the racks lol! Thank God for metrosexual styles, now girls can cross over to Topman too! It was really great spending time with my brother, I wasn't able to do so. As you grow older, siblings normally drift apart. I really hope that doesn't happen to my family as i value family ties a lot, of what's left of them. All the more to keep the family bonds strong! Speaking of family bonds, time for some cousin pics took during CNY. Hope you guys enjoy them! Do spend more time with your loved ones! They are precious and irreplaceable :)
