Today was a great sermon being preached by Dr. Brendan Kirby, the pastor of Hope Adelaide and he is a part time scientist. (This guy has a PHD how cool is tt!!!) The sermon was about apologetics and it was something very different cuz he preached from the perspective of science, something I have never encountered b4. It was really refreshing and my mind was trying to rapidly absorb what he told us about while trying to jot down sermon notes. If you ever met difficulty in explaining to your fellow friends why God exists, why Jesus is the one true God and why we should believe in the Word of God, then this is the sermon for you.
It really reaffirms my faith and really helps to spur me on in running the race for God. What we are doing is not in vain. There is a higher cause. I was shepherding my sheep today and one of the points was about how you yourself becoming an expert in one area can help others. In this case oh boy you bet your socks it did! Its really true, the statement in the bible that says that we are 'fearfully' and 'wonderfully' made. Fearful, because it is just too amazing how our body functions, the different parts that make it work. We have 17 trillion cells in our body and the structure of each cell is so fearfully complex lol! Protein synthesis, blah blah blah, I am sure we didn't crawl out of the mud. Who ever created man must have been an amazing person and must have gotten a PhD in human biology!!!!
Its really heartening and great to know that the Bible has survived the tests of many. You want Historical evidence? WE HAVE IT! You want Scientific Proof? YOU GOT IT! Is it accurate? YOU BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR IT IS!
Once again, I am reminded of the importance of really getting your family and friends to accept Christ. "If we can get to God by being a good person, then Jesus did not have to die on the cross" How true is this statement. I really hope to improve in my knowledge of apologetics, it would really reflect on how much we understand and know our faith and prove tt we do not have 'blind' faith. In this world which is so full of skepticism, all the more should we Christians equip ourselves with 'Apologetics'!
Later on at night, Me, Nettie and Victor went for supper, tau huey!!!! And of course how can we not have pics! XD
