I stared out of the window of my living room and the sky painted a unique image. It's heavy hues of blue held promise of rain that was to come, yet amongst that there were splashes of crimson orange. A very queer image it is, but I could find myself identifying myself with it.
Exams are something that would freak out any normal person, unless you have
have a super high IQ and study hard to boot. You see people really cracking under the pressure, and sometimes I think to myself: "Whew, thank God I have God!" The hues of heavy blues are the stress and dread that I carry in me. However, I also have splashes of crimson in me too, the happiness which stems from within. I am of course stressed by exams, but I know that I am not doing this alone. I know my purpose is greater than passing exams and all, but the exams are merely a stepping stone.
I find myself being even more relaxed during the exam period, it may seem strange to you or you just might feel the same too. I have more time to sleep, more time to stare out of my window and just enjoy the scent of the breeze! More time to eat, more time to shop (whoops), more time to spend time with my friends. Definitely, there should be a balance, I study too, don't you worry!
To all you out there who are stressed or feel that the exams are too great a force to be reckoned with, take a step back and see the situation as it truly is. Do you believe that the exams are bigger than our God? I don't think so.
Haha! We may be well prepared, moderately prepared or unprepared at all for our exams, but one constant factor which is present is GOD! And the family of God, I feel so blessed knowing that we have a
community in NUS, battling the exams together! We keep each other in prayer and also help to spur one another on. I believe that The NUS community is something that we
shouldn't take for granted for. There were people who had to soften the ground and sow the seeds that have blossomed today. Let's continue sowing seeds too and help to propel this family of God to greater heights! :)
